Founded in 1955, the firm comprises of 12 partners with offices in Toronto and Brampton, Ontario.
The firm’s services include accountancy (including forensic accounting); audit (Canadian GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS); taxation and management consultancy. The majority of the firm’s clients are mid-sized owner managed businesses, although McCarney Greenwood is one of the few non Big 4 firms with a growing number of public listed clients, which currently account for 12% of their portfolio.
A significant number of the firm’s clients have business interests and subsidiaries outside Canada and the firm can serve clients in English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi and Russian.
The firm’s outstanding quality is consistently reflected in its professional body and voluntary quality review reports. The firm is registered with the Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB) and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). In addition the firm is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (ICAO); the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA); the Private Investigators & Security Guards of Ontario; the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners; the Association for Certified Forensic Investigators; the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario and the Insurance Institute of Ontario.
