PROFESSIONAL PROFILE OF PARTNERS AND CONSULTANTS
The profile of the partners is as under:
Mr. S. C. Vasudeva, B. Com. (Hons.), F.C.A., F.C.S., LL.B.
Mr. S.C. Vasudeva was enrolled as a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in 1962 and has an experience of more than four decades in almost every facet of the accounting profession. He was an elected member of the Central Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 1985 to 1995. During this period he had the occasion of being member of various standing and non-standing Committees and as Chairman of Continuing Professional Education Committee, Auditing Practices Committee, Corporate Laws Committee, Research Committee and Fiscal Laws Committee. Thereafter, in due recognition of his noble contribution to the cause of the profession, he was nominated to the Central Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India by the Central Government in 1995 for three years.
He was once again elected member of the Central Council of the ICAI for the period from 2004–2007. During this term he acted as Chairman of Accounting Standard Board (ASB), Financial Review Reporting Board (FRRB) and Committee on Accounting Standards for Local Bodies, Member of Research Committee, Corporate & Allied Laws Committee, Corporate Governance Committee, Internal Audit Committee, Professional Development Committee and Expert Advisory Committee.
He has also been the Chairman of the Regional Council of Northern India of the ICAI, for the year 1973-74 and President of the Income-tax Appellate Bar Association, New Delhi for the year 1998-99.
He was the Nominated Member of the Central Council of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) (July 2007 to February 2010). During this period was a member of the Cost Accounting Standards Board of ICWAI.
He is a co-opted member of the Accounting Standard Board of the ICAI (1999-2000, 2002-03, 2003-04, 2009-10 and 2010-11), Cost Accounting Standards Board of the ICWAI as well as of Secretarial Standards Board of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
He is a Member of Corporate Laws Committee and Taxation Committee of PHD Chamber of Commerce, New Delhi.
He is a member of the Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS) Trust Supervision Committee of National Housing Bank (NHB).
Presently he is the Chairman of Northern Region Chapter (NRC) of International Fiscal Association (IFA)–India Branch.
He is contributing a bi-weekly column ‘Tax Advice’ in “Daily Tribune”, Chandigarh and “Deccan Chronicle”, Hyderabad.
He is presently on the board of Public and Private Limited Companies in a professional capacity. He was also a member of the Local Advisory Board of UJF Bank Limited, New Delhi Branch. He had also been nominated by SEBI as a public representative on the Board of Delhi Stock Exchange Association Ltd.
He had also been nominated by IFCI as a Director on the Board of JSL Limited.

He is the Senior Partner of the firm and in that capacity looks after the entire range of practice relating to Audit, Direct Taxes including planning for corporates & non-resident Indians and rendering of Consultancy on Accounting, Company Law, Taxation & FEMA matters. He has contributed articles/papers in various Seminars/Conferences/Workshops/Journals on topics of professional interest.
Mr. R.C. Luthra, B. Com., F.C.A.
Mr. R.C. Luthra was enrolled as a member of the ICAI in 1979 and has an experience of more than 27 years in the profession. He has over the years acquired proficiency in Direct Tax Laws and Statutory Audits. He is presently looking after Statutory Audits.
Mr. Sanjiv Mohan, B.A., F.C.A.
Mr. Sanjiv Mohan after completing his apprenticeship with the firm joined the firm as a partner in 1987. He is based in Ludhiana and is in-charge of the Ludhiana office since 1987.
His ability to understand the business environment coupled with his sound financial and accounting background has enabled him to specialise in conducting statutory audits of companies. He has an in-depth knowledge of the spinning, tyre, paper and terry towel industry.
He has also been involved in preparation of project reports for various small and medium size enterprises and has assisted them in getting their projects financed from nationalised banks.
In addition to the above, Mr. Sanjiv Mohan also assists clients both individuals and corporate in preparation of their income-tax returns. He also handles income tax assessments for a few clients.
Mr. Sanjay Vasudeva, B.A. (Hons.), F.C.A., D.I.S.A. (ICA)
Mr. Sanjay Vasudeva after obtaining his Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Delhi did his apprenticeship with M/s. Price Waterhouse and after qualifying the examination, joined as a partner in 1993.
He has been involved in the audit of major corporate and non-corporate clients in industries such as textiles, engineering, publishing, paper, travel, software, healthcare etc. He has also been involved in the audit of major nationalized banks, foreign banks and non-banking finance companies. He has an in-depth knowledge of the trends and practices in the Banking Industry. Further he has an extensive exposure to the Indian Accounting and Auditing Standards.
He has been a co-opted member of various committees and study groups on Accounting, Audit and Corporate Law constituted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Presently a special invitee on the Auditing & Assurance Standards Board (AASB).
He has also been an active member of the Board of Governors of the Delhi Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (Florida) and was elected as the President of the said Chapter during the year 2003-04.
He is currently a member of the Corporate Affairs Committee of the PHD Chamber of Commerce.
He has attended various conferences in India and abroad. He has also presented papers on various topics such as Auditing, Accounting Standards, Foreign Direct Investment and Business Process Outsourcing in India and overseas.
Mr. Sachin Vasudeva, B.Com. (Hons.), F.C.A., LL.B.
Mr. Sachin Vasudeva has done his Bachelor’s in Commerce and thereafter apprenticeship with M/s. A.F. Ferguson & Co., Chartered Accountants, New Delhi. He is also a qualified lawyer, having obtained his Bachelor’s degree in law from Delhi University in 1997. Mr. Sachin Vasudeva joined the firm as a partner in 1995 and presently looks after Statutory Audit, Direct Taxes and Mergers and Acquisitions.
Apart from advising clients (both domestic and international) on various issues under the Income-Tax Act, Wealth Tax Act and Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements, he has a vast experience in handling assessment proceedings under the Income-tax Act. He also handles appellate matters before the Commissioner of Income tax (Appeals) and the Income-tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT).
He has a good exposure to business valuations and has handled share valuation assignments for MNCs and other listed companies in India. He has successfully completed the Certificate Course on Valuation conducted by the ICAI. He has also handled many due diligence assignments for large companies.
He has attended various conferences in India and abroad. He has also presented a paper on ‘Taxation of Services and Intangibles’ at Taipei, Republic of China as part of the Morison International Asia Pacific conference in Taipei.
He is a member of the Income-tax Appellate Tribunal Bar Association at New Delhi and frequently writes articles for various tax journals.
Mr. Ashish Agarwal, B.Com. (Hons.), F.C.A.
Mr. Ashish Agarwal has joined the firm as a partner in 1999. Prior to that he was working with the firm as an Audit Manager for a period of 2 years. He is a Bachelor of Commerce from Delhi University. He passed his CA examination and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India w.e.f. July 1996. Presently he is looking after Internal and Statutory Audits. His experience in internal audits covers companies in the field of electronics, pharmaceuticals and polymer.
Mr. Ashish Agarwal looks after Internal Audits and Business Process Outsourcing.
Ms. Parul Gupta, B.Com. (Hons.), A.C.A., LL.B., C.S.
Ms. Parul Gupta has joined the firm as a partner in 2009. Prior to this, she was working as a Tax Manager in the firm. She completed her graduation from Delhi University and thereafter qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the year 2004. She is a qualified lawyer and a company secretary as well. She looks after direct taxes.
Apart from advising clients (both domestic and international) on various issues under the Income-Tax Act, Wealth Tax Act and Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements, she has a vast experience in handling assessment proceedings under the Income-tax Act. She specializes in the area of transfer pricing.
She has also completed a certificate course in International taxation conducted by the Northern India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Mr. Abhinav Khosla, B.Com. (Hons.) , F.C.A.
Mr. Abhinav Khosla after completing graduation in Commerce from the University of Delhi did his apprenticeship with the firm. Till the year, 2009 he has been with associated with the Shipping Industry for about 13 years and briefly with the Retail Industry. He has been inducted as the Assurance Services Partner from 2010. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the year 1988 and worked with the Insurance Industry for a few years. He was also associated with the firm during the years 1990 to 1995 as a Partner mainly looking after the Assurance practice.
